Last night we arrived to the village of Villeneuve-Loubet in France. After eating an obscene amount of food yesterday in Albenga Italy I set out for a epic early morning sweat sesh. Prepped with long Lorna Jane running tights, my favorite lavender long sleeve Lululemon top (with thumb holes of course), a fully loaded iPod, Persol shades, and my shoe wallet holding my ID & 5 euros (my father always taught me to run with ID and money) I was ready!

10 Min Stretch
I looked back after a few minutes and the village was totally covered with clouds. SO stunning!
I stopped at about the 15 min mark and took out my headphones to listen to the rushing water. Running on the soft trail was heaven for my body!
Almost at 30 minutes I was back into the village. I love how the sun is not yet fully shining. I love feeling of being ahead of the world.
It was time for my upper body work! I did 15 SLOW dips on the bench. Then SPRINTED across the gravel to the other side where I did 15 push ups on that bench. I went back and forth 6 times. Finishing with 45 dips and 45 push ups. Way more than my goal. And holy shit did the locals think I was crazy!
Then I hit the local playground to work my ever expanding ass & belly. I did L shape leg lifts until I could not feel my lower half. Then supine single leg glute presses, followed by hands & knees leg circles & butt lifts. OMFG I thought my ass was going to fall off! It was awesome. Between each lower body move I ticked away at my 5 mins of core. I used my iPhone timer, setting it for 5 minutes, and pausing it between sets. First set of core was 2 mins of straight legs up/down. Then 90 seconds of low plank hip drops, then I finished with 90 seconds of straight leg side to side oblique crunches. I was tired and shaking and thrilled!
My reward? Returning to see the village of Villeneuve-Loubet wake up. Once back to our sweet AirB&B rental I stretched for 10 minutes.
I am NOT skipping cheese plates, sweets, and pasta.
I am NOT saying no to any of this amazing food & wine.
But I am saying FUCK YES to amazing morning workouts in epic locations.
Obviously loving every bite that hits my tongue… But I gotta say… THANK G-D I have my 6 Day SLAM Plan when I return. It’s a good feeling knowing that in just 6 days I’ll be back to my normal food and eating routine.
Until then though… it’s pasta and cheese thank you VERY much!
