Angela Parker created Body Inspired Fitness as an alternative
to the huge intimidating gyms that are saturating the industry.
Body Inspired stands alone in the fitness market because of the
company's ability to work with clients of all ages - 5 to 105.
Angela's goal is to offer help to anyone who wants to change
his or her life.
Angela's interest in fitness is rooted in a love of dance. Her
studies in movement led to a unique mind/body awareness that
laid the foundation for her approach to exercise. In 2003, Angela,
certified by both the National Endurance Sports Trainers Association
and the American College for Sports Medicine, founded Body Inspired
Fitness, a personal training company dedicated to spreading her
love of movement and exercise.
Starting with a unique concept, Angela set out to help improve
the quality of children's fitness. "For years, I have worked
with kids in almost every capacity imaginable," she says. "Not
so long ago, I was a kid myself, and I remember very clearly
what it felt like to face the daily trials of growing up." She
put that experience to good use, forging relationships that were
individual to each child she worked with, and using that relationship
to tap into what kids enjoy, which then allowed her to really
motivate them to keep working hard. Because Angela believes that
healthy habits must start with the parents, she expanded Body
Inspired Fitness to include the whole family. "Our specialty
is working with the family as a whole and seeing where the holes
are and why it's not working." Described by the Westside
Today publications as a "Family Fitness Phenomenon," Angela
is known for her unique and personal approach to helping people
of all ages and physical fitness levels achieve their personal
exercise goals.
Angela has recruited a team of dynamic and talented trainers
who've all been taught by Angela herself, and who follow her
fitness methods. The Body Inspired team has a passion for health
and fitness, and a desire to help others embrace a healthy lifestyle.
Coming from different backgrounds, and with different specialties,
Angela's trainers work with clients of all ages and fitness levels,
finding unique ways to make fitness fun and exciting.
In 2005, Body Inspired Fitness created the first and only Pacific
Palisades-based Boot Camp - these outdoor, summer classes met
at the beach, the park, and the stairs and were Women Only. Body
Inspired boot camps were an instant success. Angela's "No
sergeants, no whistles, no yelling" approach attracted a
loyal following of motivated women. Many boot campers have returned
for a second, third, even tenth boot camp!
In 2007 Body Inspired boot camps expanded even further! Boot
Camps are now being offered in Santa Monica as well as the Pacific
Palisades, and because of their extreme popularity, are being
run every month year-round!
In September of 2007, a Men's Camp was created - making it a
fun and safe place for both women and men of all ages and fitness
levels to exercise.
Starting in Fall of 2008 Angela will turn her popular Body Inspired
Boot Camp Program into an Indoor/Outdoor Fitness Studio. Offering
their unique group classes to the public without having to commit
to a four week program or join a gym!
Working with people on an emotional as well as physical level,
Angela helps individuals identify personal factors that have
been blocking their progress. Angela and her Body Inspired trainers
have worked with clients struggling to overcome weight issues,
clients trying to rebuild muscle after debilitating illness,
clients looking to rehab after surgery or injury, and clients
who are just trying to find the right motivational techniques.
With Angela's enthusiastic attitude and invigorating workouts,
her clients discover a healthy, active lifestyle with endless
possibilities and results.
Over the past four years, Angela has grown Body Inspired Fitness
to be a truly unique, one-stop-shopping fitness resource for
the entire family: "At Body Inspired Fitness, we've got
something for everyone, from kids and teens, to moms who have
just given birth or are even still pregnant, to senior citizens,
to athletes, to couch potatoes. We love working with everyone

Sean Neff |
First
joining Angela Parker and Body Inspired Fitness in the fall of
2004, Sean has enjoyed being part of many
fitness success stories as clients have come in ready to make
a difference in themselves. Of course, it is not only body
image that finds benefit from regular exercise but energy and
confidence as well.
Everyone deserves to have the energy and
confidence it takes to succeed in the day to day grind that
can be Los Angeles and a regular personalized fitness regimen
is a great key to obtaining that gift for oneself. Sean's positive
outlook and athletic acumen help to forge an enjoyable and
well-guided pathway to being the best physical being that one
can possibly be while clearing the mind at the same time.
There is a tremendous link between physical and mental well
being in terms of productivity and one's overall outlook in
business, family life and life in general. Sean takes this
into consideration for all of his clients and uses this knowledge
to truly connect with each person to ensure that each individual

Private Sessions
A certified personal trainer through the
National Exercise and Sports Trainers Association (NESTA),
Sean puts the individual first and foremost in every training
session. No two people are completely alike and Sean has
tremendous experience working through the weaknesses of each
client while celebrating the strengths.
With an honest look
at the individual's level of fitness and overall body structure
there is a specialized program created for each client focusing
on strength, toning, fat loss and other considerations depending
on the client. For instance, Sean has worked with many competitive
athletes through his Sports
Specific Training Program, adolescents who have needed
more exercise than the school system has placed into effect
or who are dealing with childhood obesity, and the elderly,
including one gentleman who had a personal goal of getting
back to his church again after having his strength, mobility
and balance taken away by a long stretch in the hospital.
Goals
are set for the individual through the reality of who he
or she is right now and are escalated throughout the program.
Clients with weak joints are put through an extensive program
without using movements that could cause further joint deterioration.
Clients with asthma build up their lungs gradually instead
of jumping directly into an extreme cardio program. Each
piece of a client's athletic and medical history is taken
into account before a program is put into effect.
Honest and
complete interviews with clients before the first session
along with Sean's extensive knowledge of biomechanics, physiology
and exercise technology help each client get the most personalized

Jeffrey Bertollini |
A balanced and functionally trained body creates an everlastingly
healthy body, a philosophy Jeffrey trains by. An athlete
by nature, he takes pride in his elite style of training,
meshing traditional styles to form a solid style all his
own. He mixes many forms of fitness training such as sports
conditioning drills, endurance training, agility work, Pilates
conditioning and even yoga, giving his clients a workout
that pushes the envelope on fitness session after session.
Jeffrey has been a personal trainer for the last six years
and is certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
He has a strong athletic background, particularly in Track & Field
and Strength Training. Jeffrey is an avid runner (about 30
miles a week) and spins no less than 4 times a week. He
is looking to take more to the streets with his riding and
looks forward to enhancing his swim technique due to his
current training for triathlons.
Jeffrey's study into the human body and his work as a figurative
sculptor give him an advantage over the typical trainer,
as he is able to visualize the body from all angles. He attributes
his ability to keep his clients' routines fresh and new with
the simple fact that he himself gets bored very easily. He
is very inventive in his sessions and is always looking for
new exercises that have not been done before. Using his creative
side he is able to really motivate and pull the most out
of every person he works with, turning average, everyday
movements into hard working strength training exercises
that will allow you to transform your body in ways you never
thought possible.

Jeffrey's private sessions are a force to be reckoned with.
He builds a customized workout for each individual client
that he works with. Whether your goals are to lose weight,
tone your body, build up endurance or simply take part in
a healthier lifestyle, Jeffrey will take you to the height
of your goals and beyond.
The central focus in Jeffrey's training sessions is the
Core. The core is defined as the central section of the body
consisting of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine, pelvic
girdle and hip joint, and all of the muscles that attach
to these specific areas. The core is not only the focus of
Jeffrey's training but also the very essence of what keeps
the human body upright and able to function. Everyone
needs to have their core strengthened and kept in optimal
condition first and foremost, and that's what you can expect
from each of Jeffrey's sessions.
His trainings consist of movements that push the entire
body at one time. Function is the essence of his workouts.
With day-to-day work, the typical human body will go through
a number of stresses that damage the functional aspects of
our movements. The constant bad posture of sitting at your
desk or at the computer doing your daily work places pressure
on your stabilizing muscles and slowly starts to minimize
their functional aspects. Over time, a person can develop
neck and lower back pain, rounded shoulders and a list of
other problems within the workings of their body. Training
the body not only builds muscle and keeps off fat, but it
also helps to prevent the wear and tear of our daily routines
from impacting our overall health. When the training is done
right you will lose the fat, tone the body and build the
muscle more quickly and more efficiently than ever. This

Holly Clapham |
After her first year in college (hello freshman 15) Holly
quickly became very interested in physical fitness. After
adapting a healthier lifestyle, Holly realized that not only
did her clothes fit better, but SHE felt better. Stronger,
more confident and with a lot more energy. In her workouts
Holly uses different kinds of cardio combined with strength
moves both with and without weights, to mix up her routine
ensuring that it's never dull. Holly is also an accomplished
baker and is constantly experimenting to make some of her
recipes more 'Body Inspired Friendly' while still being a
delight to eat. Look for her famous baking recipes in our
newsletter!
Sessions
Holly wants her clients to feel confident in themselves
and believes that comes with feeling good inside as well
as looking good on the outside. She wants her clients to
look forward to working out knowing they will be challanged,
but have fun and leave feeling strong. In addition to being
a NESTA certified personal trainer, Holly has taken advantage
of practically every workout class L.A. has to offer and
intergrates her sessions with "a little of this, a little
of that". She strives to keep her workouts tough yet
interesting and even enjoyable.
Holly specializes in working with kids and teens. Her passion
is customizing creative and fun workouts so her young clients
can develop confidence in themselves and discipline in their
everyday lives.

Doug Binzak |
Doug (and his son Harry) was one of Angela's first clients. He
has now joined the team to bring the benefits of long held,
deeply stretching YOGA poses as a way to round out the Body
Inspired Fitness regimen. An avid traveler of the world
and hiking explorer of the santa monica mountains, doug used
to work 80 hours a week as a former tv executive; he'd then "play" (at
basketball) as hard as he worked, and wound up overstressed
and with a blown out knee!
Turning to yoga, Doug developed a practice -- and now teaching
style-- that focuses on meditative counter poses to our daily
efforts at defying gravity and dealing with chronic stress.
He guides students toward extending healthy, active, quality
lifestyles. He has studied yoga with Max Strom, Matthew
Cohen, Eric Schiffman, Paul Grilley, Denise Kaufman, and
Aaron Reed, and also has been significantly influenced by
Taoism, Buddhism, Quantum Science, and Nature. |

Stacey Bosworth |
Stacey started as a dancer in Michigan and Chicago where
she studied ballet, jazz, hip hop, and modern. Her passion
was ballet, which lead her to Pilates. She became certified
through the "Physical Mind Institute" and has been
teaching for the last seven years. Stacey loves to motivate
people, and show them how working out can be fun, uplifting
and change your mind and body! She believes "A
strong core is the basis for a strong life!" Stacey
loves to challenge herself as well to become leaner, stronger
and healthier which she passes on to her students. Nutrition
and overall health has been Stacey's focus since her dancing
days and she can really give you good info on what may work
for you. Stacey will give you a fantastic Pilates workout
that is technical and refined, and killer butt blasting moves
that will help you achieve that "dancer" look. "Challenge
your body and mind past their comfort zones" is Stacey's
motto. (while having fun!)

Sherry Driggs |
Sherry Driggs has a unique experience to share with others. About five years ago she gained a lot of weight in a short amount of time (a size 4 to a size 16). Prior to that she yo- yo’d around with the misc. diets, but always was in between sizes and out of shape physically. Sherry started her fitness journey by training with an Olympic gold medalist for a 16 week infomercial 4 1/2 yrs ago. At that time she could not walk up a flight of stairs without being winded. She transformed her body and gained the knowledge of a gold medalist's mindset for achieving goals. She has a lot to offer anyone either starting out with excess weight to lose or someone who wants to take their fitness to the next level. She can’t wait to help others with their goals and lifestyle change's. Sherry believes that the first step is making a commitment for a better way of life. She believes it is a journey and a process. One small step at a time in a positive direction is all it takes. Prior to joining Body Inspired Fitness she was in the mortgage industry for 20 years; she also has a dog walking business servicing Santa Monica and Pacific Palisades. Sherry is a certified personal trainer through NESTA and her mission is to help others achieve their personal fitness goals.She believes in the self-motivated extra push whether it is a few extra sit ups, one more pushup, holding a move one second longer,etc. Sherry is easily approachable and eager to help others.
